CBTi is the first-line treatment for chronic insomnia.
CBTi is a talking therapy that explores how your thoughts and actions influence the quality and quantity of the sleep that you get.
It is recommended as the first line treatment by the NHS, NICE, The British Sleep Society and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
It outperforms all sleeping tablets, however many patients are not offered CBTi as there are too few clinicians trained to deliver the treatment.
This course is for healthcare professionals: practice nurses, psychotherapists, nutritional therapists, GPs, physios, occupational therapists, social prescribers, PTs and all lifestyle medicine practitioners.
This course is designed to set clinicians up to deliver CBTi independently. To further support the transition into practicing CBTi, enrollment includes 12 months registration to the insomnia CPD group, and the opportunity to sit in with insomnia clinicians for further bespoke training and support.
